they really could’ve just make Mon El a comic relief, like make him an explorer who landed on Earth by accident. (like in the comics)

no drama, no relationship angst, none of this heterosexual bullcrap.

just an alien doing everything hilariously wrong while occasionally providing the DEO with some critical info.
