Your people’s legacy is not death and destruction…
It’s you.

Watching some of the 1960s Jetsons episodes made me want a bby Kara on Krypton cartoon before I remembered that later everyone dies.
somebody take photoshop away from me

ANYWAY imagine the day Kara finds out there’s a supergirl porn parody floating around where she bangs all her villains
my two loves
Oh yeah, and another thing: no one better ever, ever call Cat Grant a “mother figure” to Kara ever again, okay? Let’s put that shit to rest once and for all. Mothers don’t almost accidentally call their daughters hot while looking up their skirts as they fly away, after trying to tell them how much they’re in love with them, okay? Okay. Glad we figured that out.
Barista: Here’s your latte.
Kara: Oh, space! I love space! I’ve never been there though, that would be crazy!
*Adds Kara not getting some sort of lead infused suit to fight Rhea to list of things i’m forever going to be sad about from season 2
Cool off for the day–
#kara has never looked so offended
I love her face so much. Amazing reaction, but idk how I feel about Kara being a Star Wars fan (not because I don’t like Star Wars or anything, cuz I love it) but here’s my headcanon (and I know I’m not alone in this): Can you imagine a teenage Kara, just a year or so after arriving from Earth and watching “A New Hope” with Alex? Alderaan explodes in like, the first 15 minutes. Kara watched her own planet explode in real life. No way she’d be able to watch that movie and not have like, a massive flashback to watching her entire planet–and everyone she’s ever loved and known on it–dying, no matter how awesome the movies are.
I can’t imagine Alex wouldn’t have thought of that. She probably just sat Kara down like “here’s this story with aliens and humans working together and heroes and powers and basically everyone you’ll ever meet will have seen it so you’re going to need to know it, but there’s a scene where the bad guys wreck a planet, so I’m going to have you go get popcorn before it happens ok?”
Kara watched the whole thing eventually, when she was older, wrapped up in blankets and clinging to Alex, because she did end up loving the films and because she wanted to prove to herself that she could. But that was the only time, she still leaves the room right when Tarkin starts talking if they watch it now.
Alex, incidentally, is known in some circles for her incredibly aggressive rants about Leia and how bullshit it is that she has to turn around and comfort Luke only days after her entire world blew up and how the Skywalker men are all complete pansy-ass weaklings for flirting with the Dark Side when Leia is the most righteous and Good character ever even after enduring, like, actual loss. Maggie laughed the first time she heard this rant, because holy shit Alex you nerd, chill out with your super gay Leia fangirling. Then later they all do a marathon together and Kara does her vanishing act to avoid being triggered and Maggie is like “… oh. Well shit.”
One time Kara hears Alex’s rant at a party, Alex is a little tipsy and the newest movie just came out, and Kara has been thinking a lot lately and she says something like, “I think grief doesn’t really come on a scale. Luke doesn’t have to put his sadness aside to make room for Leia’s. They could draw strength from each other instead.” and everyone at the party who is not In The Know expects Alex to TEAR THAT APART but Alex just says, “oh,” kind of small and stunned, and goes to get another beer
