Alex protecting her alien family

This family is the core of this show. I hope we get more scenes with the Danvers sister and J’onn, especially Alex.
Big overprotective sister Alex is the best.

Look at her jumping in front of her bulletproof fam what a pure badass I love her

#If jumping in front of a bulletproof alien isn’t the core of Alex’s characters#nothing else could possibly come close (via @alittlelesspain)

Supergirl commission for Anonymous. We hope this piece will inspire some writer out there.

“Supergirl has lost her powers and saw Alex get shot in the head. The bullet grazed her forehead and knocked her out, but for a heartbreaking moment, Kara thought her big sister was dead. Alex is leaning against an ambulance stretcher and Kara is hugging around Alex’s middle with her head on Alex’s chest. It’s the only way she can hear Alex’s heartbeat, now that’s she’s lost her powers.”

Do you ever think about how Kara consciously chooses again and again to be Genuinely Good?

Her dad made the Medusa virus and her mom’s identical twin made Myriad and while their intentions probably seemed Noble and Good to themselves, they were ultimately used for Not Good.

These were the genetics that made her and she’s probably afraid of herself like Lena is. Afraid that she’ll become bad because she thought she was doing good.

Do you ever think about how if Kara hadn’t lingered for one last kiss from her mother, she wouldn’t have been caught in the shockwave that sent her to the phantom zone and things would have gone as their parents had planned

Do you ever think about how Kara must have thought about that. I think a lot about how she must have grown up not only knowing that she was supposed to help Clarke but also that she couldn’t because she stayed back just those few seconds too long. How like, in the process of saying goodbye to her family, to a large extent she also lost Clarke
