i think that’s absolutely legitimate though! i do understand that sometimes people are shy, etc., but for some i for sure know it’s pure laziness, and it’s sort of frustrating because while i’m not writing entirely for comments, i would like some feedback at some point, you know? i’ve written things with plenty of kudos but not a peep from the populace, and it’s a little rough on the ego. on the one hand you think, well, someone must have liked it because kudos. but then you’re left wondering if they just didn’t like it enough to comment, and that’s a bad place to be at, especially for someone with skin as thin as mine.

but, yeah, this is a losing battle i sometimes feel like ranting about, mostly because i come from a time when people posted on mailing lists and the only type of feedback you got was someone replying to your story with words.
