Update: The overnight rating was not misleading. Based on the more precise fast national data, Tuesday’s “Glee” slipped to a non-holiday low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and a series low viewership average of just 2.6 million viewers.

The descent into the abyss continues.

After setting a series low in the overnight metered market ratings (and a non-holiday low in total viewers) for last week’s telecast, FOX’s “Glee” managed to sink even lower this week.

Down a tenth from last week’s mark, this week’s “Trio” slipped to a 2.1 overnight household rating.

Even if the decline does not manifest itself in the adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers, which will be released at 11:30AM, it is clear “Glee” did not notably rebound last week. Its struggle to recapture fan interest persists.
