#the superflash crossover was filled with wow moments #but this was one of the really underrated ones #when cat grant was faced with impending death #she begged to be spared #not for herself #but for her sons #cat grant #the woman who was introduced as selfish and souless #looked death in the eye and though not of her own fate #but her sons #because she knows they depend on her and she takes that so seriously #there’s carter who is still a child #and every child needs their parent #but it’s more than that #because carter is a child who has just started coming out of his shell #and cat knows that that would all be undone and more if he lost his mother #then there’s adam #who grew up without her and it made him so so bitter and angry #but then they just recently connected and cat had started to make up for that #adam’s just starting to learn what it’s like to have a mother who is there for him #and imagine cat knowing this and then realising how quickly it could be taken away from him again #she’s terrified of what that might do to him #is she scared for her own life? of course #but her first thought is her boys #we all love cat for her wit and hilarious one liners and all that #and quite rightly so #but do not underestimate or forget cat grant the loving mother #i’ll go cry now
