you hear a tapping at your window at night, you’re terrified but you go and look out. a feeling of relief washes over you as you realize its just your local cryptid asking for your wifi password, they want to message their friend, but most cell companies don’t sell data plans to nonhuman beings, so they just wanna use ur wifi for a sec

After about the 10th cryptid asks, you decide to put that spare room to use. You open up an internet cafe for cryptids only. As thanks, you are protected from abductions, sacrifices, and animal mutilations. Word gets around to their friends, and now legends from all over the state are coming just to seek asylum and relax for a bit from being hunted. Because your Cryptid Cafe is on your own property, any hunters can be charged for trespassing. More and more show up, and are now taking up the house. They’re nice and respectful to you, so you’re okay with this.

When witch!Lucy has her own place, this is what happens. Then her girlfriends want to get a place together. Lucy can’t just abandon the cryptids, but they can’t follow her either. She decided to suck it up and continue to pay rent on the place because one day, she’s gonna need their help with trouble magnets like—-

Oh. Ooohhh.

2×19. Before the trio are a strong trio. Before there’s talk about living in the same space. Alex goes missing. Alex can’t be found. Alex may just lose her life this time.

Lucy calls her house. She asks if any of the cryptids are willing to do her this favor. She will give them her soul in exchange if that’s what it takes. They say they’ll help her. And they do.

Alex is too busy trying to stay afloat. She too busy trying to keep the panic down. She too busy ignoring the cold seeping into her limbs. She doesn’t see the shadows move, there are no lights beyond her tank. She doesn’t see the claws and paws and too many fingered hands pressing against the walls.

The glass shatters. The water rushes out. Something foul fills her nose and she can’t handle the stench of rotting corpse on top of everything else.

Supergirl, doing another flight around the city, hears something call her name. It sends a shiver down her spine, the way it echoes in her ears, between buildings, and settles low in her heart. She follows the haunted call after checking in with the DEO.

Alex wakes up in the medbay of the DEO.

Lucy upgrades her internet to the best National City has to offer. She also does her best to keep every flavor of Mountain Dew, Oreo, and Kit Kat available. Kara doesn’t mind the trips to Japan, but she’s learned Lucy will never tell her where all those Kit Kats go.

Cryptids are such sugar fiends, after all.
