13. Do you ever think we should stop this?
Cat poses the question one night when they’re
lying in bed, sweat cooling on their skin, tangled up in the sheets and each other,
waiting for their heartrates to return to normal.“Do you ever think we should stop this?” Cat
asks, voice quiet in the otherwise silent bedroom, and Kara twists so that she’s
facing Cat, propping her head up on her elbow and trying not to look too
pleased about the way that Cat’s eyes flicker down to her chest when the sheets
pool around her waist.“Stop what?”
“This.” Cat’s lying flat on her back, staring up
at the ceiling, and gestures a hand between the two of them. “You and me.
Sleeping together.”
