as far as kara being a country singer, half her songs being about killing men is a good ratio. I trust they almost all go in the Goodbye Earl video direction of being vaguely gay (maybe even explicitly) as well

Kara never seriously considered being a singer – that was Clark’s thing, after all – but she did love music. And not to brag, but her YouTube channel had nearly 6,000 subscribers! Her weekly cover uploads got hundreds of views, and that alone was enough. People liked her voice, liked her smile. Liked that she never changed the pronouns she sang.

No Kara was content in her own tiny corner of the internet, and she was nowhere near ready the day Clark somehow stumbled upon one of her covers. It was his song, one of those sappy ballads he’d written for Lois years ago, and she sang it extra sappy and cheeky in the ways Clark used to sing before his record deal. And despite never using her real name on her account Clark found her. Without even thinking he’d tweeted a link to it at Lois.

Kara woke up to thirty thousand new subscribers.

I LOVE THIS!!
