#No one on Meryl’s green earth will ever convince me#that Cat didn’t realize with perfect clarity that Supergirl was absolutely undeniably Kara#during that Cat/Supergirl hug in 1×19 #look at her face in that scene#i’ve watched it countless times over #and that’s what it says to me every time#she melts into the comfort of an embrace when Supergirl pulls her in#but then there it is #that moment#that slow opening of her eyes again over Supergirl’s shoulders#as the scent of a shampoo of a perfume of a person she knows all too well#washes over her #and she KNOWS #without a doubt #it IS Kara#and there is nothing she can do in that moment but be AWARE#so painfully wonderfully terrifyingly aware#and while Cat cares about Supergirl certainly#it is that realization that the person in her arms in that cape#the person who is their only hope even if it means her doom #is Kara Danvers#the girl who cares for her and takes care of her#the girl who wriggled her way into Cat’s heart#the girl who Cat considers close important FAMILY#it is THAT realization that makes her tug Supergirl closer#that makes her squeeze her tighter #that makes her not want to let go#she goes into that hug with Supergirl gently until she realizes it is Kara and tightens her grip#she goes into the 2×02 hug with Kara with full abandon–with want and relief and comfort and love#never doubt who is in Cat’s heart – it’s always been Kara Danvers (via @chrmdpoet)
