This speaks to something larger that bothers me about a lot of canon ships, or just determines what I ship I guess. Mutually beneficial partnerships. That is a great way of phrasing it.

I’m still trying to get at what it was about korrasami that made so many queer fans read it as canonically romantic but left other fans completely blindsided when it came out and this is getting there…
