They got that dank ass red sunlight simulator that takes away her powers. It takes a lot of convincing but eventually Kara gets alex and J’onn to agree to her using the simulator for a tattoo, something she says was a rite of passage on Krypton (funny how every thing Kara’s ever really really wanted just happened to be some rite of passage…) and lo and behold! Maggie happens to know an alien tattoo artist they are able to vet and bring into the DEO to do it.

Alex’s disapproval quickly turns into amused teasing as her tough-as-nails baby sister whines her way through the tattoo like its the most difficult thing ever.
